Select the light bristled brush for use on lighter shade felts. Brush the hat in a counter-clockwise direction, against the lay of the nap, so that the felt is worked well and dust is best removed. This is also a great clothes brush. Reserving one for light colors and another for dark avoids the transfer of hat dye from dark to light felts and vice versa.
