We have a lot of new products and I will attempt to provide adequate information about them while keeping this brief.

New Products

HAT CLEANER - The felt hat cleaner is now available for dark colors along with the lighter color cleaner, and also a water and stain resistant spray. The price is $7.50 ( the light color felt cleaner previously had been $9.95) We are able to offer the lowered price because of switching brands to Scout products.

HAT BRUSH -lower price previously. $9.00 now $7.95 for the light or dark bristle brush with handle.

BABY WIRE HATSTAND - The wire hatstand maker finally agreed to do a size for baby and large doll hats. The diameter is 4.5". The regular 12" wire hatstand has a 5.25" diameter and the mini doll wire hatstand has a 2.75" diameter. All are $10.00.

HORSEHAIR BRAIDING - More Colors.
1" width black and white @ $.75 yd
2" width black, white and red @ $.95 yd
6" - black, white, ivory, red, navy, fuschia & purple @$1.95 yd

QUINGMAY AYOS STRAW FABRIC - last summer we first offered this straw in natural. We have added black and white (bleached), with no price change.

36" wide @ $7.25 yd or 25 yd roll @ $135.00

This is still a new fiber for the U.S. market and not easily found. We are pleased with being able to include it in our product list. And can't say enough about its quality. Quingmay ayos is similar in appearance and weave to sinimay BUT is less fragile, more flexible, and less likely to crack with handling. The straw fabric also has a brilliance giving hats a zip and sparkle. It really is lovely and we will continue to add colors and patterns plus other weaves as the market grows.

CLOSEOUT BALSA BLOCKS - we had a few of these up earlier this year and sold out. Now we have additional shapes. These are not used. There are eight shapes. Headsize varies from 21" to 23.5", not all sizes in each shape. $49.00

CLOSEOUT MILLINERY BELTING has just been added this week. It is the real stuff, a rayon / cotton blend in mostly off colors and wider widths. Heavy in greens and browns with a smattering of other surprises. By the yard, the price is regular belting prices. BUT the colors and widths we have lots of are selling at $12.00 a bolt (40 - 50 yds) There are dozens of some colors and just a few of others. Find them on the product page under CLOSEOUT BELTING.

DOUBLE VELOUR CAPELINE bodies are coming in. Lovely and plush at $25.00. Colors right now are: black, white, french navy, wine, burgundy, faded periwinkle, tobacco brown and a lovely red.

Speaking of red, the REDHAT SOCIETY http://www.redhatsociety.com is fast growing around the U.S. We are stocking more reds in hat bodies, veiling, ribbons, feathers and trims. And in our retail shop we have more ready to wear red hats. We include the URL for those wanting more information about the society.
