SUMMER TEA - June 21
And a word about our Summer Tea, June 21, 1pm - 4pm at the United Methodist church hall in LaGrange (2 blocks west of us.) Tickets are now available for purchase at $17.50 per person. Our speaker is Eia Radosavljevic and our theme is "A Day Trip to Royal Ascot". Eia has ventured across the pond to attend the Ascot a number of times and will regale us with her stories. To get into the theme everyone must dress the part. Since the Ascot began in 1711 there are many decades and styles of dress from which to choose. This should be great fun, don't you think?

To get ideas and for more history on the Ascot visit this website - http://www.thisisascot.com/history.htm

NOTE: The Thursday before the Ascot themed Tea you can come in to the shop and trim your hat to go with your outfit. Anna and Judith will assist you in creating your dream Ascot hat. The shop is brimming with flowers, veilings, feathers and ribbons just waiting for the chance to top your chapeau. Bring your hat (this is not a day to make the hat, we are trimming hats only) and any other trims you may want to incorporate. You do not need to register for this class. Anna and Judith will be available all day offering advice and suggestions on "how-tos'.

So that we can close at our regular time of 5 o'clock please arrive before 3pm to allow enough time to finish.

Our caterer of the past several years, Chef Vogts is honoring us with this one last Tea. They have moved to the Nashville, TN area and opened a restaurant, along with a daughter, called Nick of Thyme http://www.nickofthyme.net and Tricia is coming back just to do our event. She hopes to continue catering Teas and asked that anyone having friends in the Nashville / Brentwood Tennessee area to get in touch at (615) 370-6477.

Hope to see you at some or all of these events.
