Spring is here in our part of the country. The forsythia and tulip magnolias bloom as do the daffodils and hyacinth. A welcome change from grey winter. The staff at Judith M are in spring mode as well and ready to help you burst on the scene with exciting panache.
We have a spring sale on foundation materials. We are giving a 15% discount on any of the foundations, buckram, crinoline, wet and shape and Timtex. If you have never worked with any of these, now is a good time to experiment. Go ahead and make the knock-out spring chapeau you have always dreamed of. It's time to pull out that length of silk you found on sale and bought just because you couldn't resist. It will make a smashing hat for your Easter outfit.
We have gotten in a 7" parasisal capeline of excellent quality. Available only in natural at $22.00.
For a fun little hat we have open crocheted toyo hoods at $4.75. The bulk of these are in black or white, but there are a few desert rose and french blue.
Also in hoods, are some extra fine woven parasisal and sisol going at the regular price of $17.00. I am saving one back for myself, but the rest are up for grabs. Black only.
In regular parasisal hoods there are new colors, along with black, white, navy, cherry red, and taupe are jeans blue, butterscotch, pale lime, and french lavender. New colors in parasisal capeline(6"), $20, are silver grey, coral blush, sage, teal and chestnut brown.
To clear out the storage area we are offering last winter's blocked felts at half price. Black and dark grey are the remaining colors of the crushable micro felt narrow brimmed hat-$10.50 each. The felt with 3" wired brim also is $10.50, in colors of black, choc. brown, dark grey, taupe, and red. It's best to call the shop if wanting to order any of these to make sure what colors are still available at the time of your order. Our toll free number is 1-877-499-4407.
There are lots of blocked hats in stock from narrow braided straw or raffia to the paperbraid fibers. Someday there may even be images of them on the web page. In the meantime, call and we will do our best to describe them over the phone. Prices range from $12.95 to $29.00. And we will soon have finely woven raffia yardage and a new natural fiber similar to sinamay, but with more shine. We'll send sample swatches if you request them. Call or email us. Both are in natural only at this time. We are importing these directly from the manufacturer and hope to offer colors later. What colors would interest you?
A fresh shipment of handmade flowers, mostly in silks, arrived several weeks ago. Again, call for colors and descriptions. I am just not finding time to get everything on the web page yet. But keep dreaming, because one day it will happen.
Our wishes for the best of all possible seasons to each of you,
Judith Mishler, Judith M Millinery
