COCKTAIL HAT WORKSHOP – Saturday, February 24

Kate Brown Pernia of Katrinka Fine Millinery will be teaching her Shirred Satin Valentine Cocktail Hat as seen in the current (Jan/Feb ’07) issue of Belle Armoire Magazine. We are lucky to have Kate as a guest instructor for this one day class. Kate currently resides in Switzerland but agreed to drop by for a day on her visit home to the U.S. *

This is your opportunity for personal tutoring in an open studio setting. Do you want to learn about hatmaking? This is the perfect setting. Already making hats? Then have the use of our facilities, blocks, and tools and one-on-one instruction with the Midwest grand dame of millinery, Veronica Chin, Chicago. *

Collectible Hatpins on Sale

Our lovely hatpins have been reduced for January & February. Offered in sets of 3 or 6 the hatpin tops are made of Swarovski crystal or other hand blown beads, set on sturdy stainless steel shanks. Many colors are available as well as pearl and shell toppers. During the sale we are throwing in an extra clutch for covering the sharp nib of the hatpin shank as they tend to be lost quickly. A hatpin is always useful to secure the hat to hair and makes a wonderful gift.
